Peshawar Campus Organizes Seminar on “Importance of Study of Psychology in the Present Day Volatile World”
A seminar on “Importance of Study of Psychology in the Present Day Volatile World” was held at the Peshawar Campus of Preston University, Kohat in June 2011. Purpose of the seminar, organized by the Department of Psychology, was to train the students to be research oriented and build their skills in writing and oratory. Professor Dr. Alay Ahmed, Dean of Social Sciences, Preston University, Peshawar Campus, played a key role in conducting the referenced seminar.
 
Professor Dr. Muhammad Anwar Hassan, Vice Chancellor, Preston University Kohat, presided as Chief Guest. Addressing the participants of the workshop Dr. Muhammad Anwar Hassan emphasized the need to build the skills of the students in two very important areas such as writing and oratory. He also asserted on the occasion that the minds of the students should be developed in such a manner that they become research oriented and sensitive to the happenings around them. He said that organization of the referenced seminar at a time when the entire world is confronted with volatility of unparalleled magnitude could not have been more appropriate. The students of Psychology, in particular, would find the proceedings of the workshop enlightening and interesting when seen in the backdrop of the current world scenario that has put people under tremendous psychological pressure.
