It is indeed a matter of immense pleasure for me to learn that Preston University, a leading private institution of higher learning of the country, has been dedicatedly engaged in imparting higher education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for more than a decade. Its contribution towards the cause of higher education in the province has been enormous, and its worthy of genuine appreciation.

The role played by private sector in promoting higher education in the province has been significant. Encuraging active participation of the private sector has, therefore been the cornerstone of the education policy of successive governments in the region. The present government firmly believes in the promotion of Higher Education, with a view to provide access to the students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to quality education.

Provision of high quality education at all levels, particularly higher education, is primarily the responsibility of the state, which is indeed a challenging task. It demands tremendous efforts and needs enormous resources. Though the role of public sector in the attainment of this vital national goal has been substantial, yet the need of public-private partnership in education cannot be underestimated. Beyond any shadow of doubt, public-private partnership in higher education has played a positive role in promoting the cause of higher education in the country.

It has, though provision of quality education, developed qualified human resource essentially needed for sustained socio-economic development of the country.I wish the management of Preston University the best in all its endeavors directed towards promoting the cause of higher education, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.I also assure the University of my utmost Support as long as it continues to invest in building up the human capital of the country, though provision of quality education.
