Preston University Organizes E-Gaming Competitions

Intra-Campus E-Gaming Competitions ‘COD 4 and FIFA 17” were held at the Islamabad Campus of Preston University. The referenced competitions were organized by the Computer Science Department of Preston University, Islamabad to mark the 15th Anniversary of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). To awards certificates of commendation to the winners of the two E-Gaming competitions a certificate distribution ceremony was held. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Daud Awan, Dean Computer Science and Advisor Quality Assurance, Preston University  presided over the event as Chief Guest. 


 

Atif Azhar of BSCS – 4th and Arif Manzoor of BS – IR 3rd semester secured First Position in COD 4 Competition. Second Position was won by Mr. Naveed Ahmed BSCS - 6th semester and Muneeb Toor of BBA 4th. Winner of  FIFA 17 was Mr. Saud Bin Riaz of BSCS 4th semester.  Naeem Arshad Shah of BBA 6th semester was declared runners-Up in the FIFA 17 competition.


 

In his brief address on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Daud Awan, Dean Computer Science and Advisor Quality Assurance, Preston University  expressed his profound gratitude to the Chancellor of Preston University, Dr. Abdul Basit for poviding the students of the Computer Science Department an opportunity to Organize E-Gaming Competitions - COD 4 and FIFA 17 to mark the 15th Anniversary of the Higher Education Commission (HEC). He also eulogized the efforts of Preston University to always encourage its students to take part in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, besides education.  Prof. Daud Awan assured the students of the Computer Science department of Preston University of his full support in the organization of such creative activities in future also. Dr. Daud Awan congratulated the winners of the competition and highly appreciated their outstanding performance in the E-Gaming competitions. He particularly lauded the efforts of Ms. Munazza Mah Jabeen, Asst. Prof. Computer Science, Preston University   and her team members who were instrumental in organizing the referenced competition. 


 

Later, Certificates of Commendation were distributed among the winners of the competition by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Daud
