Weekly FACULTY ACADEMIC FORUM-LECTURE SERIES-9, PRESTON UNIVERSITY KOHAT ,Islamabad campus was held on 18th October, 2017

 A lecture on  “REVIEW OF EDUCATIONAL PLANNING IN PAKISTAN” was held at the Islamabad Campus of  Preston University, Kohat on October 18, 2017. The referenced lecture was organized under the ‘Faculty Lecture Forum’ of the University. Prof. Dr. Hamid Khan Niazi, HoD, Education Department, Preston University Kohat, Islamabad campus, delivered the lecture. The lecture covered the following areas pertinent to Educational Planning: 

 

1. Concept of planning and Educational Planning.

2. Stages and different types of planning.

3. Data required for effective planning.

4. Problems associated with educational planning and remedial steps. 

 

The lecture was followed by Q&A session. The participants immensely benefitted from the lecture. The Q&A session, in particular, was very interesting and thought provoking.

 

Prof. Dr. Hamid Khan Niazi has 39 years teaching experience, research and administration at the university level. He has served in different positions at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU). He also served as Advisor with UNESCO’s Country Office in Islamabad, Pakistan. Currently, Prof. Niazi is associated with Preston University. He has been engaged in teaching at this University since December 2014. Prof. Dr. Hamid Khan Niazi has published more than 30 research papers, developed courses on Educational Planning and Management at MPhil and PhD-EPM levels at AIOU Islamabad. During his career spanning over almost four decades Dr. Niazi has had the distinction of supervising more than 35 MPhil and 10 PhD scholars.
