The 4th Indigenous Entrepreneurship Conference (IEC-4) was held at Preston University Islamabad in March 2018. The referenced event was jointly organized by Preston University and the Youth Association of Pakistan. Mr. Zafar Bakhtawari, Chairman D. Watson Group of Pharmacies presided over the Conference as Chief Guest. Dr. Abdul Basit, Chancellor Preston University was the Guest of Honor.

Eminent entrepreneurs and educationists spoke on various topics pertinent to the conference. Mr. Gulfam Baghoor, an Entrepreneur, Development Consultant and Research Trainer focused his presentation on ‘Role of Higher Education in Fostering Entrepreneurship’. Prof. Syed Zaheer Abbas Shah from NUML University Islamabad talked about ‘Entrepreneurial Leadership. Mr. Waheed Sharif, Managing Director, Institute of Business Leadership (IBL) Islamabad shed light on ‘Attributes of Successful Entrepreneurs’. Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President Pakistan Economy Watch centered his discourse on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’. Mr. Irfan Shahzad, Researcher Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) Islamabad spoke about ‘Green Entrepreneurship’. Mr. Salman Rai, an upcoming Entrepreneur presented a success story. Mr. Humayun Shuja, Director Entrepreneurship Development, Preston University acted as moderator of a panel discussion on ‘Opportunities of Business for Pakistani Youth’ held as part of the IEC-4 Conference. The panelists were Mr. Jawad Zafar, Mr. Azhar Hanjra and Ansar Rajput.
