Sorrow Over Sad Demise of its Professor

Prof. Dr. Col. (R) Muhammad Altaf Qureshi, Assistant Professor of Education, Preston University Islamabad breathed his last on Thursday, September 27, 2018. Inna lillahe Wa Innailaihe Rajeoon. 

 

The management, faculty, students and staff of Preston University in a condolence meeting held on Friday, September 28, 2018 expressed their deep sorrow over the sad and untimely demise of Dr. Col. (R) Muhammad Altaf Qureshi, and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul of Dr. Altaf Qureshi a place in the heaven and give the members of his bereaved family courage to bear this irreparable loss with patience. Aameen.

 

Prof. Dr. Col. (R) Muhammad Altaf Qureshi, has been associated with Preston University Islamabad since October 4, 2010. He was an outstanding mentor who guided and taught his students with unparalleled devotion and love. Dr. Altaf Qureshi was equally popular among his fellow faculty members and the management and staff of the University for his extremely amiable personality and a very strong ardor for teaching and research.   

Prof. Dr. Col. (R) Muhammad Altaf Qureshi, has had the privilege and honor to serve some prestigious institutions of the Pakistan Army, engaged in education planning and administration, for 30 years. He possessed three masters’ degrees in Chemistry, English and Educational Planning and Management (EPM) respectively. Dr. Qureshi did his M.Phil and PhD in EPM both from the University of Punjab.  

 

In his message on the sad demise of  Prof. Dr. Col. (R) Muhammad Altaf Qureshi, Dr. Abdul Basit, Chancellor Preston University said Dr. Altaf Qureshi was an outstanding teacher. In his death Preston University has truly lost a person who was not only a very good teacher but also an extraordinary  human being. May his soul rest in peace. Aameen.
