Preston University Commemorates 141st Birth Anniversary of Poet of the East Allama Iqbal
The 141st Birth Anniversary of poet, philosopher and scholar of international eminence Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal was commemorated by Preston University Kohat, Islamabad Campus with immense gusto.  To mark the occasion, a seminar was held on November 9, 2018. The faculty and staff of the University participated in the referenced seminar with unparalleled enthusiasm. Additional Registrar Preston University, Dr. Allah Wadhayo Baloch and Mr. W. J. Qazi, Program Director spoke on the occasion and highlighted the contributions and achievements of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. They said Allama Iqbal was known as Muffakir-e-Pakistan (thinker of Pakistan), Shair-e-Mashriq (poet of the East), and Hakeem-ul-Ummat (doctor of the Muslim ummah). They emphasized that there was a dire need, particularly for the youth of Pakistan, to understand the message of the great national poet and follow his teachings in letter and spirit. On the occasion, Ms. Sabina Khan Wazir, Program Officer recited some selected verses from the poetry of Iqbal which was immensely appreciated by the participants of the seminar.
