A seminar was held at Preston University on November 12, 2019 to mark the 142nd birth anniversary of Poet of the East Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal.  The referenced event was jointly organized by Preston University and Sheher-e-Iqbal Forum. Eminent among the speakers who spoke on the occasion and paid glowing tribute to eminent poet-philosopher Allama Iqbal were Chief Guest of the seminar, Malik Muhammad Ashraf, President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industries (SCCI), Dr. Shoaib Suddle, President Sheher-e-Iqbal Forum, Dr. Abdul Basit, Chancellor Preston University and Vice President Sheher-e-Iqbal Forum and Professor Dr. Talib Hussain Sial. On the occasion, a Tableau and musical rendition of poetry of Allama Muhammad Iqbal were also presented by the students of Preston University.
