BSIR Program Details:
Introduction:
The Bachelor of Science in International Relations program aims to educate students on policy making through the utilization of various theories to examine contemporary global challenges. The curriculum emphasizes the dynamics of International Relations, national interests, power dynamics, diplomacy and state behavior to provide insight into the realities of realpolitik. Students will develop the ability to assess the core principles and key concepts of International Relations. Additionally, the program fosters strong relationships with prominent institutions in the nation's capital, by preparing students to tackle intricate problems and pursue careers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, multinational corporations, NGOs, and IGOs.
Requirements:
A student must achieve 144 semester credits for the award of a bachelors degree. Out of this total requirement, at least 60 credits must be completed in general education including sciences, mathematics, social sciences, language and humanities; minimum 48 credits in core subjects related to the degree program of the student; 24 credits in Electives in International Relations.
Eligibility
Holders of any one of the following qualifications are eligible for admission:
* High School graduation (12 years of school education)
* Higher Secondary School Certificate or Intermediate (FA/FSc) with preferably Poltical Science, Pakistan Studies, International Law or any of the relevant subjects..
* International Baccalaureate
* GCE or Equivalent: Minimum eight (Pakistan Based) or five (Overseas Based) O' Level subjects plus three A' Level subjects including one subject from any Social Science.
* Students should have preferably studied Poltical Science, Pakistan Studies, International Law or any of the relevant subjects.
In addition to the minimum qualification, candidates are required to qualify a written test and an interview for admission.
