Introduction
Placements Office is involved in concerted efforts to help the students of Preston University select the most appropriate fields for their career, and to develop their personal & professional skills to the maximum possible extent. Further, we act as a liaison between University and Public/Private Corporate Sector to coordinate placement opportunities for students/graduates.
We ensures that upon graduation the student is not only equipped with necessary skills but also feels confident to enter the practical world of modern business, industry or government. The individual development of each student at this university enhances the job potential of our graduates. That is precisely the reason why our graduates have no difficulty in securing good jobs immediately after graduation. Some outstanding students are able to get job offers in their final semester even before they graduate.
Services Being Provided by Placements Office
Placements Office is providing professional services in the following key areas:
- To minimize the gap between University and Corporate Sector and establish ties with more organizations and liaison with industry
- To help direct University's goal according to Corporate Sector needs and priorities
- Build and maintain close working relationship with the Human Resource/Talent Acquisition departments at national and International organizations working in the country, the HR consulting and recruitment companies etc
- Provide consultancy to graduating students to select and pursue a career of their field & interest
- To accommodate our maximum graduates for jobs and their placement in both Public/ Private Corporate sector
- To develop student's personal & professional skills & to build their personality
- Advertisement and circulation of Job opportunities among students
- Forward shortlisted applications to the concerned organizations against each position
- Coordinate with external organizations (potential employers) and organize placement related on-campus activities (including Information/briefing sessions, Aptitude/ Assessment Tests, Selection Interviews etc.) on regular basis
- Organize various Career Development Activities with stakeholders support, including Career Counseling Sessions, Career Development Workshops, Resume writing, review and feedback workshops, Mock interview sessions, Do's and Don'ts of CV writing, successful interview and job skills, Professional trainings, Career Expo (Job Fair).
